Biography
Jacob Sultzbach was a son of Henrich and Elizabeth Sultzbach.[1] He was born 12 June 1797[2] and baptized in June 1797 at Kreutz Creek, York County, Pennsylvania.[1]
He was married to Elizabeth Ferree (Ferry) on 13 January 1818 in Trinity Reformed Church, York, Pennsylvania.[3]
The 1840 U.S. Census recorded Jacob Sultzbaugh in Spring Garden Township, York County, Pennsylvania, head of a household that consisted of one male age 40-49 (this would be Jacob), one female 30-39, one female 20-29, and one female under age 5.[4] The 1850 U.S. Census recorded Jacob Sultzbaugh, age 53, in Spring Garden Township with Elizabeth Sultzbaugh, 52, and Elizabeth Sultzbaugh, 12. Jacob was a farmer with real estate valued at $2200.[5]
Jacob Sultzbach died in York County on 28 August 1858 and is buried in Kreutz Creek Cemetery in Hellam, York County, Pennsylvania.[2]
