Mary's birth date is based on data entered in SC 1900 census. Her date of death is from her tombstone.
In the 1900 census Mary states she was married for 45 years. Based on this, her husband would have died around 1880. However, he does not appear in that census record and Mary is living with her son.
Epting family records show her to be the daughter of Andrew Summer and Christina Epting.
