Nancy Summers was born on June 19, 1802, in Wayne, Kentucky, United States, daughter of Isaac Summers (1770–1815) and Mary Polly Green (1773–1863).
Nancy (16) married George Washington Green (22) (born on August 10, 1796, in Patrick County, Virginia, United States; son of Robert Preston Green and Seleh Celia (Hammond) Green) on February 28, 1819, in Wayne County, Kentucky.

They initially settled in Wayne County, Kentucky where the three oldest children were born.
Their children were:

The family moved to Randolph County, Missouri before 1830 and remained in the area living in the adjacent counties of Macon and Chariton.

Nancy died before August 28, 1858, in Macon, Missouri, aged 56. (See Research Note 3). She is buried in Tuttle Cemetery, Macon County, Missouri.

Research Notes
The 1830 Census indicates that George had two sons born between 1820 and 1825. There is documentation indicating that John Wesley is the younger son. On-line trees indicate the name of the eldest son is William H., but no sources tie him to George.
The 1830 Census indicates that George had two daughters born between 1825 and 1829. There is documentation indicating that Mary Louise is the younger daughter. On-line trees indicate the name of the eldest daughter is Denisa Jane, but no sources tie her to George.
Nancy Summers had to have died between 1850 and before 25 August 1858.
There is a marriage record showing a George Green marrying a Nancy Faiter or Foster on 25 August 1858 in Grundy County, Missouri. [4]
