Harvey was the last child born to Robert Clancy Summers and Sarah Briley. Sarah passed away 3 Sep 1844, either soon after Harvey was born, or at the time of his birth.^[1]

Pvt. Harvey Summers (Civil War, Co F, 40th IL Volunteers) died 12 Oct 1863 from injuries received at the Battle of Vicksburg, and is buried in the National Cemetery there.^[2][3][4]
