George Summer, aged 87 years, died at the Waseca Memorial hospital Monday morning, having been ill only 11 days, death being caused from complication incident to old age. George Summer was born in Akin, Ill., in 1850. He was married in that city[1] and was the father of two daughters, who survive him. He came to this city about 25 years ago and started a truck farm. He raised fruits and vegetables and delivered them from house to house for years. The surviving daughters are Altha and Ruth of Akin, Ill. Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon from the Pfaff funeral chapel at 1 o'clock and interment was made in Woodville cemetery.[2][3]
