Bernice was born in 1924. She passed away in 2002.
Bernice Lott, 78, of Abilene, died Wednesday, July 24, 2002 at a local hospital. Services will be at 10:00 Saturday, July 27, 2002 at Grace United Methodist Church with Bernie Ray Summers officiating. Burial will be in Elmwood Memorial Park directed by North's Funeral Home. Visitation will be Friday from 6-7:30 p.m. at the Funeral Home, 242 Orange.
Ms. Lott was born and reared in Abilene. She worked for over 20 years at Safeway stores and the Butcher Block meat market. She retired after over 10 years of working in Home Health Care, in 2000. She was a member of RSVP, Salvation Army Home League, American Legion Auxiliary, the V.F.W., and life time member of the Disabled Veterans Auxiliary. She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church.
Survivors include; two sons, Jim and Shiela Becker of Abilene and Joe and Charlotte Becker of Stamford, three daughters, Sharon Grange of Owens Crossroads, Alabama , Glenda and David Riley of Abilene, Rita and Robert Haney of Tye, one brother; Bernie Ray and Sady Summers of Abilene, and one sister, Nona Fay Steele of Abilene, 15 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Bernie and Lena Summers, 2 brothers, Mandell (Gene) Summers and Billy Mac Summers.
In Lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hendrick Hospice Care, P.O. Box 1922, Abilene, Texas 79604.
