Biography

In the 1841 census he was age 8 months.

He does not appear in the 1851 census.

In the 1861 census he is age 20, single, a Mariner and living with his mother and siblings in Whitby.

On 16/3/1861 he was issued with a Second Mates Certificate in Whitby.

On 10/12/1864 age 24 he was issued with a Master's Certificate at Whitby.

In 1891 he was age 50 a lodger living in Ruswarp and living on his own means.

He died age 52.
