↑ David's birth is also recorded in the Hebron, Connecticut Colony, town records. Hebron VR, page 133. It appears, since the Claremont record declared that place was the actual birthplace, that the Hebron record was likely for the benefit of friends and relatives, as the Sumner family had recently settled in Claremont at its beginnings.
