Based on the source cited below, reciting that Ebenezer Sumner and his bride were both of Ashford, Ive added Rockcelane Holt, daughter of Silas and Mary (Brooks) Holt,as Ebenezers spouse. Silas and Mary (and family) appear to have moved from Pomfret, where Rockcelanes birth was recorded, to Ashford where her two youngest sisters were born, by 1769. If anyone has any questions or objections, or any additional evidence bearing on the identity of The 1st Mrs. Sumner, please comtact me.

Shes a 3d cousin of the woman Appleton is thought to have identified:
Roxilena or Roxerene Holt, daughter of Nehemiah and Anna (Farnham) Holt of Windham, CT,
See: https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Holt-4702 This identification has been questioned by other researchers who believe Holt-4702 was actually the wife of Ebenezer Hitchcock of Ludlow, MA & Leicester, VT.
In addition to having similar names, the two cousins were also almost the same age, one being born in 1760 and the other in 1762. Both Pomfret and Windham are withb10-20 miles of Ashford, where Ebenezer Summers lived, but I think, the daughter of Silas & Mary has the stronger claim, since it looks as if her father may have moved to Ashford. He is buried in the Old Ashford cemetery.
