Samuel Sumner b. abt. 1786 was a farmer and Baptist preacher in Clark County, Indiana and Linn County, Missouri, and possibly in Kentucky, where he lived in 1820. He was a Justice of the Peace in Linn County, Missouri as per family papers, the history of Linn County, and other public records, such as marriage records indicate.
