Biography

Johanna was baptised on 19 January 1539/1540 at Halifax, Yorkshire, "Johan'a fil. Rici' Sund'rland de Myggelay".^[1]

She married John Hemingway on 5 June 1564 at Halifax.^[2][3]

She is mentioned in her father's will 1573 as "my daughter Janet wife of John Hemingway".^[4]

There are two burials in 1589 at Halifax for the wife of John Hemingway of Hipperholme. Johanna is probably one of these as she does not appear in his will in 1593.

Johanna was born in 1540. She passed away in 1589.
