Ina Mary Mearl Sunset Welling July 7, 1922 - August 15, 2004
Ina Mary Mearl Sunset Welling died Sunday, August 15, 2004, in Lander. She was surrounded by her family who supported her faithfully through her long struggle with cancer.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 21, 2004, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Cowley. Viewings will be held from 6-8 p.m. Friday, August 20, at Haskell Funeral Home in Lovell; also, one hour prior to services in the Cowley chapel.
Ina was born July 7, 1922, in Forsyth, Mont. She married McKay Luman Welling on Nov. 6, 1943. To this union were born six children.
She will be remembered as a caring mother, grandmother and friend. She continually sacrificed her time, talents, energy and always had an open home. She was widely known for her generosity to her family and all those who were fortunate enough to know her. As a grandmother she will be remembered for her spirited, fun loving, patient and gentle nature.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years and was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
She leaves behind her six children, Linda (George) Johnstone and Laura Lee (Rick) Fagnant, of Lander, Myra Welling and Marietta (Keith) Robison of Salt Lake City, Utah, Mike (Evie) Welling and Ed Welling of Missoula, Mont. Her memory will be forever cherished by her 15 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
