Biography

Sarah was born about 1824. She passed away before 1874.

Sarah Surber married Leroy Jasper Burgin on 23 October 1847 in Pulaski County, Kentucky [1] the marriage certificate states her last name is Baker, but three of her kids death certificates state that her name is Sarah Surber.

In 1860, Sarah and Leroy are living in Pulaski County, Kentucky and have 5 kids; Sarah, Susan, Winny, Jane, and Andrew. They are dwelling number 316, family number 316. [2]

In 1870, Sarah and Leroy are living in Price, Pulaski County, Kentucky. Sarah is 46 years old and cannot write. [3]

On 11 February 1875, Leroy married a Elizabeth Acton, and it is assumed that Sarah has died before this date, most likely 1874.
