When Polly Ann Surdam was born in 1825, her father, Peter, was 50. She married Gilbert Roswell on September 22, 1846, in Geauga, Ohio. They had one child during their marriage. She died on February 13, 1884, in Barryton, Michigan, at the age of 59.
