Joseph was born May 22, 1712[1] in Annapolis Royal, Nova Scotia.[2] He is the son of Pierre Surette and Jeanne Pellerin. [1] He was baptized June 18, 1712 at St. Jean Baptiste Parish in Annapolis Royal, Nova Scotia.[1]
According to Placide Gaudet, Joseph drowned in the Petitcoudiac River about 1750 at age 38.
