Mandé Surette is a descendant of an Acadian

Jean Mande Surette was the son of Pierre Surette and Rosalie LeBlanc.[1]
He was born November 18, 1857[1] in Tusket Wedge, Nova Scotia.[2][3]
He grew up in the family home located at 52 Surette Road in Tusket Wedge.[4][3]
He was a plasterer by trade working in both Wedgeport, and in the Boston, Massachusetts area.[2]
He married Colombe Pothier, the daughter of Jean Baptiste Pothier and Leonice LeBlanc, on November 5, 1889 at St. Michael's[1] in Tusket Wedge.[3]
The couple settled into the home he had inherited from his father[2] located at 52 Surette Road in Tusket Wedge[4][3] where they raised their family of 6 children
