Lucie (Surette) Doucet is a descendant of an Acadian
Marie Lucie Surette was the daughter of Venant Surette and Anne Perteue LeBlanc.[1] She was born June 30, 1887[1] in Tusket Wedge, Nova Scotia[2][3], and was baptised July 3, 1887 at St. Michael's[1] in Tusket Wedge.[3]
She grew up in the family home on the Surette Road in Tusket Wedge.[2]
She married Jacques Alphonse Doucet, the son of Dosithee "Michael" Doucet and Lydie Deveau, on October 25, 1908 at St. Michael's.[1]
The couple settled into the home of her husband near the southern end of the Main Road (Hwy 334) in Tusket Wedge,[4] where they raised their family of 13 children[5]:

Marguerite Lucie died April 6, 1977[1], and her funeral was held April 11, 1977 at St. Michael's.[1]
