Leon Surette is a descendant of an Acadian

Leon Gatien Surette was the son of Charles Amand Surette and Marie Madeleine Pothier.[1]
He was born January 6, 1860[2] in Tusket Wedge, Nova Scotia.[3] [4]
He grew up in the family home on the East Road in Tusket Wedge.[3]
He married Colette Surette, the daughter of Gregoire Surette and Marie Jeanne Saulnier, on November 21, 1893 at St. Michael's[1] in Tusket Wedge.[4]
The couple settled into the home he inherited from his father on the East Road[3] where they raised their family of 7 children[1]:

2. Leon Moise born in 1896[1]
3. Joseph Gregoire born in 1898[1]
4. Jean Philippe born in 1902[6]
5. Elizabeth Adele born in 1904[7]

Leon Gatien died December 3, 1935 in Wedgeport, Nova Scotia[2][10] [4], and his funeral was held December 5, 1935 at St. Michael's[1] in Wedgeport.[4]

There is a discrepancey in the sources.
His Death Registration gives a birth date of January 6, 1860.
Find A Grave with Headstone Photo gives a birth date of January 27, 1862, however his Headstone says he was 75 years old at the time of his death in 1935 which would give him a birth year of 1860.
