I don’t believe there is a definitive source for a surname and there is no known Pangdean as a place in England. There doesn’t appear to be a verified source for either. (There is a Pangdean farm near Poynings, at least they both have Brighton postcode’s).

It seems to me that a last name at birth of "Unknown" would be suitable given the current sourcing.

Pangdean was a manor at Pyecombe (several references in the National Archives 'Discovery' catalogue, e.g. https://discovery.nationalarchives.gov.uk/details/r/C5877764), so probably the origin of Pangdean Farm.

Is she a de Warenne? Contemporary was William de Warenne of Lewes, 3rd Earl of Surrey, Lord of Lewes (ie "of Sussex"), the Crusader.

That William is involved with charters and gifts with this Beatrice's son John de Poynings. So, perhaps this Beatrice (Beatrix) is the sister of William the 3rd Earl, ie her father is the 2nd Earl, who d. 1138?

Where is Pangdean supposed to be?

There is currently a business in Pyecombe, West Sussex, England calling itself 'Pangdean Old Barn' so perhaps look in that area?
