Margaret (Sutherland) Sutherland Lady Artamford is a member of Clan Sutherland.
Margaret (Sutherland) Sutherland Lady Artamford is a member of Clan Irvine.
James Irvine of Artamford, who succeeded in 1675, had married, in 1673, Margaret, daughter of James Sutherland of Kinminity. By her he had seven sons, the eldest of whom was Alexander, who, in or prior to 1703, sold Artamford, and purchased Grimond; and, in 1737, succeeded to Drum as heir of entail, when, as one of the heirs of entail who had already attempted to prevent the fraudulent alienation of the estates, he again commenced a suit, which was decided against him by the Scottish courts in 17-11. In middle age Margaret became embroiled in a Sutherland family court case. In the litigation she was referred to as "Margaret Sutherland, Lady Artamford".
