Charles Leslie Sutherland, single, aged 22, driver from South Melbourne, enlisted with the A.I.F. on 21 March 1917. Driver with March 1917 Reinforcements, Regimental number 17816. Unit embarked from Sydney, New South Wales, on board HMAT A74 Marathon on 10 May 1917. Returned to Australia 7 July 1919, Driver with 5th Field Company Engineers.
