I've had an interest in genealogy since the first time I laid eyes on a family tree that my older Sister made for a History project. I think I was about 7 or 8 years old at that time. No idea why that memory sticks in my head, it's just one of those things!
I started taking the job of family genealogist seriously in about 2017. I am one of the lucky ones, as all 4 of my Grandparents are still living and able to contribute valuable information to my research. With the family genealogy relatively complete I dove in and really started doing genealogy on all kinds of profiles around Nova Scotia, Canada.
Although I'm not registered yet, I hope to soon apply for my certification in Nova Scotia as a Genealogical Records Searcher. This is the first step on the road to Certified Genealogist in the province and the country in general.

Thanks for having a big heart and adopting the Orphaned Profiles. This After Adopting Orphans FAQ explains the special attention that adopted profiles will sometimes need.
Let me know if you have any questions on how to find and record sources, merge duplicates, clean up gedcom biographies, and interpret the Suggestions report. I'm here to help!

Shouldn't be a problem for me. I adopted these because I have access to the appropriate resources for these Nova Scotia settlers. Already started sorting about the duplicates and unsourced profiles.
Congratulations on making more than 1,000 contributions to WikiTree for the Month of May. We all appreciate your efforts to make our Shared Tree the best it can be. Keep up the great work and THANK YOU!

I just wanted to suggest that you edit the sources you are adding to the profiles created. They seem to have insufficient data, for example "1881 census" with no identifiers is not adequate. It does not tell anyone where the census was taken a is recorded.
For more information see Sources.

We are happy to have you as a member of WikiTree. I hope youre enjoying being here.
I'm a member of the Mentor project, and I just wanted to check in and see how things are going. Do you have any questions I can help you with?
Shirley WikiMentor
You've been a member of WikiTree for about a week now so I thought I would check in to see how it's going. Have the How-Tos been helpful or left you with questions?
I want to help! Click my name, then ask in the comment section of my page or send me a private message. Sometimes links don't work in emails. If that's happened to you, check the public comments on your profile. The links will work from there.

PS Good work so far! Have you noticed on your ancestor profiles on bottom right is "Research" where you can get sources and more information? Give it a try! For profiles for living people, just go to this link. RootsSearch
