Mittie Mary SUTTON[1] was born 09 Aug 1885 in Sampson, North Carolina, United States.

She was the youngest daughter of Stephen Oates Sutton, Jr.and his first wife, Theny AllySutton. After her mother died her father remarried. When her father died, her and her siblings were split up and she went to live with Joseph Bass's family in Sampson County. N.C. The last time her step mother was seen was in a wagon with her half- brother, Fred.
