Laura Annie Sutton was born in 1888 [1] in Forthampton, Gloucestershire, England, the daughter of William Sutton and Martha Annie Drew.[2]
Her mother died shortly after she was born.
In 1891 Laura was living with her grandmother in Forthampton. [2]
When Laura was about 19 she married Henry Richard Ballinger. The couple married on 10 February 1908 in St Catherine's church, Gloucester, Gloucestershire. [3]
In 1911 Laura was living in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire. [4]
