John Sutton, son of Amos Sutton and Margaret Boughner, was born in Indiana around 1825. He married Sophrona "Phreny" Groves on December 11 or 12, 1841.[1] He registered for the Civil War draft in the summer of 1863.[2] He is believed to have died in 1887 and have been buried in Saint Mary's Catholic Cemetery in Union City.[3]
