Biography

Information taken from the Philpot John Sutton Genealogy pages at [1]

Daniel Sutton (Philpot John ) was born on 9 Sep 1793 in {Charlton Abbots}, Gloucestershire, England. He died on 5 Sep 1847/1848 in {Fairfield}, Dodge Co., WI.

1. Daniel is listed as son of Philpot Sutton in "Forest and Clearings", p. 335.

2. The POB I have listed is New Charlton, Eng, I have this from a genealogy file I once saw on the internet. Charlton, Eng is about 3-4 miles east of Deptford. This seems very plausible that this could be his place of birth, and that Daniel and his family spent at least some time here. Of course this is a lead that must yet be followed.
