Theophilus was born in 1764. He is the son of Solomon Sutton and Mary Blount. [1]
>From Pitt County NC Deeds, Book "P" (p. 139) 24-Feb-1802 -- Sale by Solomon Sutton of 53 acres to Theophilus Sutton for $120, witnessed by Moses Sutton and Sherwood Hines.
From HIST. OF PULASKI & BLECKLEY COUNTIES, GEORGIA 1808-1956, Vol. 1 (p. 74) 7-Dec-1809 -- Theophilus Sutton appears at #23 on a list of Grand Jurors for December term; witnessed by Lewis Holland, Sheriff. [Note: the actually text reads "1805", but this is almost certainly an error, given that Pulaski didn't exist before 1808 and Lewis Holland's term as Sheriff didn't start until May, 1809.]
