She was interested in flying and had held a private pilot's licence for more than 12 years and was a member of the Aero Club.
She became an wireless operator after the outbreak of WWII.
After the war she became an airline hostess with Airlines WA Ltd and she ran a school training pilots in morse code on behalf of the Repatriation Dept.
She was engaged to Ron Caphorn.
She died at Royal Perth Hospital after a long illness. Prior to being at RPH she was at RGH and Hollywood hospitals. She was living at her mother's home at 25 Temple St Victoria Park.
She is buried at Karrakatta. Cemetery records have her first name as Lilian and a second middle name of Davis.
