Biography

Cornelius Suydam was born in 1696 in New Utrecht, Kings, New York to Jacob Suydam and his wife, Sytie Jacobs, was 26. He married Margrietje Van Sicklen in 1720 in his hometown. He died in 1759 in Queens, New York, at the age of 63.

Cornelius Suydam settled with his wife on Oyster Bay, Long Island, New York. He was survived by his wife after he died in 1759.[1]

My ancestor, Charles Suydam Betts was born Nov. 10, 1819, Richmond County, Staten Island, NY. Died June 28, 1895, Riverside, Hamilton County, Ohio. I have copies of bible records (two different bibles) that list Charles Suydam (CS) Betts and Cornelius Suydam Betts. Father - Walter S. Betts Mother - Rebecca Abrams
