Biography
Clara was born in 1893 at Lunde farm in Høyland parish. She was the daughter of Sivert Svendsen and Thomine Larsdatter.
From the church record for baptism 19 Feb 1893 (fathers last name misspelled):
Barnets fulle navn var Clara. Foreldre var gift jernbanevokter Sivert Sivertsen (f 1851) og hustru Thomine Larsdtr. f. Anda (f 1857). Foreldrenes bopel var Lunde. Fadderne var Cornelius Anda og hstr., Handelsmand T. Sola og hstr, Sven Pedersen Høiland; Emilie S. Lunde. Om ekte eller uekte født: Ekte.[1]
On September 1896 Clara and her family moved from Lunde in Høyland to Gudbrandsdalen (probably Øyer): Parents: Sivert, Tomine. Children: Clara, Lotte, Ida Marie, Sven, Olaf, Samuel, Carl, Elen [2]
