Biography

Birth

Sven, son of Sven Pehrsson of Gryssebo and wife Maj Carlsdotter, was born 1782-02-03 and baptized 1782-02-10 in Högsby parish.[1] Witnesses were Nils Nilsson of Foglebo, Isac Pehrsson of Gryssebo and Sina Pehrsdotter of Foglebo.

Note: I think his mother's patronym is a mistake and is actually Maja Persdotter who married Sven Persson in 1880 and appears in all the Household Books and as mother to all siblings.

Marriage

Drängen Sven Svensson of Gryssebo married dannemansdottern Magdelena Persdotter of Lilla Klo on 1808-06-29 in Högsby parish.[2]

Death

Undantagsmannen [Pensioner] and Enk. [Widower] Sven Svensson of Klo No 4 died 27 Oct 1868 at age (86 years, 8 months, 19 days) and was buried 8 Nov. Death #47 in Fagerhult parish in 1868.[3]

Research Notes

In most listed records here, Sven is listed as born in Fagerhult. However, there is not birth record in Fagerhult for a Sven Svensson. In fact only two people in the ArkivDigital index: named Sven, son of Sven, born in Feb 1782 in Kalmar: The one listed above and: Sven, son of Sven Jonson, born 1782-02-22 in Mellingerum, Kristdala.

Furthermore, there is a listing for Sven Svensson w/ wife Magdalina Persdotter in Högsby AI:2. Given this, the exact date match and the fact that Högsby reasonably close to Fagerhult (and I have a lot of relatives who lived in both parishes) I feel reasonably confident that this is the same Sven as later married. Magdalina Persdotter and lived in Fagerhult.
