Johannes Svensson experienced much loss in his 48 years of life. He grew up in Bosebo near the shores of the Bolmen, a lake in the southern portion of Jönköpingslan. At age 26, he married Maria Samuelsdotter who also lived in the same parish. Within the year, she and their newborn daughter Augusta Malvina died. He lived another 5 years in Bosebo, but moved to Tofteryd parish and married Johanna Wilhelmina Bengtsdotter in 1880. While they lived in Tofteryd Parish, they had two children, Ellen Maria and Bengt Theodor. Ellen Maria died as a toddler. While Johanna was pregnant with their third child in 1885, the family moved to Lexarp in Hakarp Parish. Here Bror Sven was born. Johanna died shortly after the still birth of a daughter that would have been their fourth child. A little more than a year later, Johannes married Inga Elisabeth Andersdotter from Rogberga. They lived in Lexarp for a couple more years and then moved to Jönköping city for a couple of years until settling in Inga's hometown of Rogberga. He died 4 years after moving there.
