Anders Svensson was born on May 1, 1748 at Tånäs in Ölme, Värmland, Sweden.[1] He was the first son born to Sven Andersson and Maria Andersdotter. Anders lived in Tånäs with his parents until he married. Then he took over the farm after his father died. Sven died in 1772.[2]
He married Stina Bengtsdotter in about 1772. They had their first child on May 30, 1773 at Tånäs in Ölme. Stina moved to Tånäs after their marriage. Anders was a farmer while living in Tånäs until they moved to Skråkvik by 1786 where he was also a farmer.[3][4][5] They had their first seven children in Ölme. By 1788, the family moved from Skråkvik, Ölme to Mariaberg, Varnum, also in the county of Värmland.[6][7] They had their first child in Varnum on December 6, 1788. Anders and Stina had three more children in Mariaberg before Anders died. They had a total of eleven children together.
Anders was a lodger when he died of consumption. He died on February 5, 1802 at Östervik Agor in Varnum, Värmland, Sweden.[8]
