Biography

Chapman Swaine, the son of John "England" Swaine and his wife Patience Skiff, was born on 13 July 1708 at Nantucket, Nantucket, Massachusetts. [1] [2] [3] [4]

Chapman and Sarah Meader (Meder), the daughter of Joseph Meader and his wife Charity, were married on 19 July 1739 at Nantucket. [5] [6] [7] [8]

Together they had the following children:

  • Joseph gr. m. Rachel Snow, sister Mrs. Thankful (Wm.) Laskey. [9] [10]

Chapman died on June 30, 1784 in Barrington, Nova Scotia, Canada. [30] He died of smallpox. [31]
