  Medical Notes:
Suffered from ill health for most of his life. A duodenal ulcer was a constant problem limiting his diet and sometime affecting his work. One Christmas it caused severe bleeding causing him to be admitted to hospital. His feet were also deformed, so much so that he eventually had a small toe removed. Special surgical boots were required after that to allow him to keep balance.
