Edith Winonah (Swaney) Martin, 86, passed away on Monday, March 16, 2015.

Born on November 23, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Layon H. and Addie Lee Swaney and wife of the late Daniel S. Martin, Sr.

Winonah was an active member of Reidville Baptist Church.

She is survived by her sons, Daniel S. Martin, Jr. of Cross Hill, Wayne Martin, Timothy Ray Martin, Phillip D. Martin, Mark Arthur Martin, and Ronald D. Martin, all of Fairmont; daughters, Frances Black of Greer and Kathy L. Butts of Blue Ridge; a brother, Jennings L. Swaney of Fairmont; a sister, Bobbie K. Powell of Reidville; as well as twenty grandchildren, forty great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.

The family received friends from 7:00-9:00 PM on Wednesday, March 18, 2015, at Stribling Funeral Home.

The funeral service was held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, March 19, 2015, at The Stribling Funeral Home Chapel, with The Reverend Larry Padgett officiating. Interment followed in Westwood Memorial Gardens.
