Biography
From History of Allegheny County, Pennsylvania:
(John Kennedy) He married Sarah Swaney, of Indiana township, near or what is now Harmarsville, this county, and by her had four children: James B., John L., Susan (wife of Andrew Voegtley) and one that died in infancy. The father was a ropemaker, and for many years was foreman of Henry Irwin's ropefactory. He was a member of the Baptist Church. His wife died in 1850, at the age of forty-one years.
