Thomas Swann passed away after 1803. [1] Thomas's first wife was Elizabeth "Nancy" Taylor (marriage date unknown). [2] Their children were Harriet Bryon Swann, Judith Swann, Samuel Swann, Nancy Hughes Swann, John Thompson Swann, Mary Elizabeth "Polly" Swann, and Elizabeth Blakely Stratton Swann. [3] After Thomas died, his children John, Nancy, and Mary Elizabeth "Polly" were cared for by guardians Thomas Stratton and Ferguson Taylor, brother of their mother. [4][5]ADD MORE CITATIONS HERE. After Nancy died, Thomas married Judith Ligon, widow of his nephew, Thomas Thompson Swann, Jr. on 13 Dec 1789 in Cumberland County, VA. [6][7] They had one son, Thomas Thompson Swann born in 1802.
