James T Swanson was enumerated as head of the household at Hiawassee, Towns County, Georgia for the April 22, United States Census, 1910. He was noted as born 1883 in North Carolina and had been married three years. He was a farmer on a general farm and a renter as seen in the image of the original census. Also included in the household are wife Emma Swanson, daughter Claudine Swanson, son Cordell Swanson and son Blake Swanson.[1]

James T Swanson registered for military service as recorded in this September 12, 1918 United States World War I Draft Registration Card. His birth was listed as December 23, 1882. His address was Buford, Georgia and he was a minister of the Gospel. His nearest relative was Mrs. Emma Swanson of Buford. He was medium height and medium build with blue eyes and light hair as seen in this image of the original form.[2]

James T Swanson was enumerated as head of the household at Sugar Hill, Gwinnett County, Georgia for the January 20, United States Census, 1920. He was noted as born 1883 in North Carolina and married. He was a renter and a school teacher (public school) as seen in the image of the original census. Also included in the household are wife Susie Swanson, daughter Claudine Swanson, son Cordell Swanson, son Jay T Swanson, daughter Corrine Swanson, daughter Ruth Swanson and son Paul Swanson.[3]
