Biography

John Swarts married Mary Jane Mouls in 1851 in Virginia

In 1870 the Swarts family lived in Virginia. John Swarts & Mary Swarts (42) with children; David Swarts (18), William Swarts (16), James E C Swarts (14), Virginia L E Swarts (12), John A Swarts (10), Samuel M Swarts (8), Sarah Swarts (6) & Charles C Swarts (3). [1]

In 1880 the Swarts family lived in North Fork, Washington, Virginia. Parents John Swarts (54) & Mary J. Swarts (50) with children John J. Swarts (20) Farm Laborer & single, daughter Sarah M. Swarts (12), Charles C. Swarts (11), Daughter-in-law (Charles Swarts) Margaret E. P. Swarts (22) & son James E. Swarts (24) a widower and his children; John W. Swarts (3) & Mary J. Swarts (2)

In 1900 the Swarts family lived in North Fork District (Greendale & Whit's Mill Precincts), Washington, Virginia, United States. John Swarts (Head - 39) & his wife, Arzona Swarts (35) with children; Mary Swarts (13), Martha Swarts (7), William Swarts (6), Maudis Swarts (4) & Nannie Swarts (2) and widower, John Swarts (73). [2]

In 1910 John Swarts, widower aged 88, lived in Abingdon, Washington, Virginia with his son-in-law, John M Miller (45) & Sally M Miller (42), children; William J Miller (17), Robert H Miller (14), Mary E Miller (12), Patty Miller (8) & Lula Miller (5).

I believe the surname is SWARTS not Sawrtz. The available sources point to S not Z.
