He died 19 October 1884 in New Germantown, Toboyne Township, at age 28 and was buried at Three Springs Church of the Brethren Cemetery in Blain, Perry County.[1]
After his death, in 1886, his widow married his eldest sister Mary Jane's widower and had another child.
