Biography

Edith (Swartz) Sourbeer has German Roots.

Edith, daughter of Francis M. Swartz and Alice Sarah Clouser, was born 24 May 1906 in New Germantown, Toboyne Township, Perry County, Pennsylvania.

On 21 January 1928 in Toboyne Township,^[1] she married Oreato Arnold Snyder, son of David M Snyder and Eva Smith,^[1][2] with whom she gave birth to at least one child. They divorced 12 September 1931.

On 14 January 1932 in Toboyne Township, she remarried to Elmer Otto Bechtel,^[2] son of William Curtin Bechtel and Catherine Grace Hoffman.^[2] Together they had at least five children.

After Bechtel's death, about 1946 in Harrisburg, Dauphin County, Pennsylvania, she married William H. Sourbeer, son of William Sourbeer and Emma E. Miller.^{[citation needed]} They had one daughter.^[3]

Edith died about 1966.
