Ethel Evaline Swayzie was born on 22 Oct 1890 in Binbrook, Ontario. She was the daughter of George Swayze and Frances Edmonds. ^[1]

At the age of 10, Ethel appeared in the 1901 Canadian Census with her parents in Binbrook, Ontario. ^[2]

John Manson Fletcher and Ethel Evelyn Swayze married on 10 Dec 1910 in Hamilton, Ontario. He was 21 years old at the time and she was 19. John was born around 1889 and he was the son of Daniel Fletcher and Merinda Lake. ^[3]
