Rebecca Swearingen was born December 22, 1716 at Queen Anne Parish, St George's, Maryland, to parents Van Swearingen Sr and Elizabeth Walker.[1]
Rebecca married Joseph Tomlinson December 21st, 1738 at Anne Arundel County, Maryland.[2]
Research Notes
I removed the middle name, Drusilla as no known source supports its inclusion. There is an early application to DAR in relation to Van Swearingen Sr (Ancestor # A111736), with errors, that may contribute to confusion among researchers.
This Find A Grave Memorial doesn't cite its sources and like the DAR indexes, should be referred to with caution.
Other research claims Rebecca and Joseph married at All Hallows church and that Rebecca died at Mongolalia, Maryland in 1797. There may be a further source such as a Family Bible inscription that is not currently available to confirm these details.

DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Rebecca by comparing test results with other carriers of her mitochondrial DNA.
However, there are no known mtDNA test-takers in her direct maternal line.
It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Rebecca:
Swearingen-288 and Swearingen-186 appear to represent the same person because: same family, difference in dates are inconclusive without the definitive sources
