James Fielding Sweeny was the fourth bishop of Toronto, Ontario, and Archbishop of Ontario.[1]
Born in 1857 in London, England, he was one of the ten children of Lt. Col. James Fielding Sweeny and his wife Anna Maria Fielding.[2] He married Georgina Martha Bostwick.[3]
His second marriage was to Catherine Boomer in 1900 in Toronto.[4][5][6]
He died in 1940 and was buried at St. James Cemetery, Toronto.[7]
