Martha Case Sweet died in 1761 of smallpox. William married Sarah Brigs, the widow of Burton Brigs in a civil ceremony 5/3/1761 and they had a son named after Burton in 1762. Sarah died in 1775. William married Molly Matteson. They were still married when he died in 1796. Per 'The Sweet Connection' she and William, Martha and Thankful are mentioned in his will and the major part of his assets went to Burton.
