Biography

When John Lyons Sweet was born on March 15, 1864, in Benton, Missouri, his father, Robert Sweet, was 49 and his mother, Delila Bookout, was 36.

He married Mary Alice Hargis on July 20, 1891, in Fordland, Missouri. He passed away on May 2, 1936, in West Dallas, Missouri, at the age of 72, and was buried in Marshfield, Missouri.
