Charlotte Jane Sweeting was born about 1823 in the Bahamas.
Gustave Renouard married Charlotte Jane Sweeting at St. Matthew's Anglican Church in Nassau 10 March 1841 shortly after he was reportedly shipwrecked in the islands. The couple had a large family, although several of the children did not survive their childhood: Laura Jane, Edward Adolphe , Alice Blanche, Aline, St Clair Emile, Charles Henry, Eugene Clarence, Frederick Camille, and Charlotte Leonie Renouard.
Charlotte Jane Sweeting Renouard died in Nassau, Bahamas in 1894 at 71 years of age.
