Biography
When Lydia Swift Burgess was born on April 11, 1788, in Sandwich, Massachusetts, her father, Stephen, was 27, and her mother, Phebe, was 27. She married Perez (Percy) Burgess on April 4, 1808, in her hometown. They had six children in 19 years. She died on August 8, 1876, in Sandwich, Massachusetts, having lived a long life of 88 years.
