Biography

Mary (Swift) Fletcher was born in Yorkshire, England.

Mary was born in 1814 the daughter of David and Hannah.^[1][2]

She married Samuel Jowett on 16 August 1835.^[3] Both Samuel and Mary 'made their mark', as did one of the witnesses (James Crook), the other (Joseph Smith) signed the register.

Samuel and Mary lived in Halifax.^[4][5][6]

Following Samuel's death she married the widower William Fletcher on 29 November 1864.^[7][8][9] Both William and Mary 'made their mark': the witnesses (James Windle and John Thomas) both signed the register.

They lived in Halifax.^[10][11]

She died on 13 August 1884^[7][12] and was buried on 16 August.^[13][14].
